Big Release

2006 Buoncristiani Napa Valley OPC (Rhone Ranger) Red

Is slated for released at LCBO Vintages September 18th $48.95, treat yourself, this one is fantastic!!!!

90 Points - The Wine Advocate - Robert Parker - "A sleeper selection, the 2006 O.P.C. is a delicious, full-throttle blend. Possessing copious aromas of flowers, blackberries, black currants, pepper, and camphor, refreshing acid buttressing substantial flavors, a velvety texture, and good length, this [is a] hedonistic as well as intellectually satisfying 2006."

Big news Bouncristiani's '06 OPC gets a 95

A fantastic new Napa Red discovery - highly recommended while this small-production gem is still available.

95 points (Editors’ Choice) Wine Enthusiast: "Just gorgeous. Floods the mouth with decadent black currant, cherry, chocolate, anise, beef jerky and smoky oak flavors that stun for their addictive deliciousness. Yet it is perfectly dry, and the balance of rich, ripe tannins, acidity and smoky oak is near perfect. The wine is a blend of Bordeaux varieties and Syrah, from esteemed vineyards including Hyde, Stagecoach and Caldwell."

We have added two new French wineries

After spending a week during the '09 harvest season in Burgundy we were lucky enough to meet and sample wines from two wineries in the Pommard area. Domaine Charles Allexant with the very talented wine maker Patrice Allexant who creates wonderful wines from the vineyards they own from the Cote de Nuits down to the Cote Chalonnaise. Our second addition is Domaine Michel Rebourgeon Grand Vins de Bourgogne which is now run by his daughter Delphine Whitehead and her husband wine maker extrodinaire Steven Whitehead, who draw their fruit from Pommard vineyards.

The Taste of Toronto - June10th, 2oo7

Wow! That was an evening to remember from Michael Potters' wild boar terrine, Keith Froggett's pan-seared sea scallops, Mark McEwan's scallop ravioli to Stephen Perrin of Terra's duck confit. Hundred of great wines to go along with the food what more could you ask for. Another great success, thank you Second Harvest.

Some photos from the event of Toronto's top chefs.
